Development of a baby
The first weeks after the birth of a child are not only for the parents an exciting time. The baby will learn too. The baby will take time to get used to the environment and as well the baby’s body will alter in this time.
For example the muscles and the movements will be trained and the baby will go from strength to strength. The baby begins with self-contained movements. Furthermore the baby will, after a few weeks, self-contained change the lie position. In addition the reflexes and reactions will be trained.
Also the baby has to learn how to satisfy the naturally play instinct. By playing with stuffed animals and baby toys will the motor activity be skilled. From the beginning on the parents have to take care of a decent education, which does not mean, that mamas or papas to not respond to the yelling of the baby. Sooner the child has to get used to fix times, what means that it will be easier for the baby to deal with day- and nighttimes. It learns what time of the day the active phase and which one the silent period is. The same is necessary for the meals. It will be much easier for the child to find a constant biorhythm. Also the parents will cope better with the baby in everyday life.
Particularly the meals have to be made to fixed times. Newborn babies should be fed every four hours. Every mother knows how much milk the baby needs to have had enough. The paediatrician and the midwife know when the time is ripe to change for solid food. As of the fourth month baby’s food can be changed into solid food.
